It's joint sand blended with a binder that stiffens after it is watered. Compared with plain sand, it resists washout from rain, runoff and cleaning, and it cuts down on weeds and ants without ending them. It adds no structural strength, so it can't make up for a failed base, and it goes into joints cleared to at least 1½ inches, never over old sand.

No polymeric sand maker we've checked gives the joints a fixed lifespan, so we don't promise one: runoff, downspouts, shade and how the surface is cleaned all decide it. The sealer is renewed every three to five years to keep the color and stain protection up, and a look at the joints each spring shows when they need attention.

Yes. Our paver repair service lifts sunken or heaved pavers, corrects the base underneath and resets them, replaces cracked or broken pavers, and resets shifted edges and failed edge restraints. Repairs are quoted on their own, from photos or in person, and they come first, so a restoration never seals over a problem. If tree roots or a drainage problem is behind the movement, we'll tell you during your estimate, since that work is outside what we do.
