Permanent Lighting Installation, or a Display We Hang Each Season

Both — seasonal Christmas light installation is half our lighting business. We design the display, supply commercial-grade C9 bulbs and mini lights, install in November, maintain it through the season (a dark bulb gets fixed, not shrugged at), and take everything down in January. You never touch a ladder, and the same crew returns each year.

A slim aluminum track is fitted once under your eaves and along the architectural lines of the house, holding individually addressable RGBW LEDs. It stays on the house year-round and is barely visible in daylight. You control color, brightness, zones and schedules from your phone — warm white on an ordinary evening, red and green in December, orange at Halloween, team colors during a playoff run.

It is priced by linear footage of roofline and by how complex the run is — peaks, dormers and multiple stories all add labor. It costs more up front than a single seasonal install and nothing after that, since there is no annual install or takedown. Barely. The track is a low-profile channel that tucks under the eave line and is color-matched to the trim, so from the street in daylight most people never notice it. That is the main reason homeowners choose it over leaving seasonal strands up year-round, which does get noticed.

It depends on how long you plan to stay and whether you would use lighting outside December. A seasonal install costs less each time but recurs every year; permanent lighting costs more once and then stops. Past roughly four years the permanent option is usually ahead on total cost, and it gets used for every holiday rather than one.

September and October bookings get first pick of install dates and early-season pricing. Most seasonal installs happen late October through November. Permanent lighting is less weather-bound but still needs unfrozen ground for any stake-mounted elements, so autumn is the practical window for both.

We supply everything for both options — commercial-grade LEDs or RGBW track, custom-cut to your roofline, plus clips, timers, controllers and cabling. You are never storing totes of tangled strands, and with permanent lighting there is nothing to store at all.

We fix it free. On seasonal installs that covers outages, storm-loosened sections and timer faults for the whole season, usually within a couple of days. Permanent installations carry a warranty on the track and diodes, and because the system is zoned we can identify which run has failed without pulling the whole thing down.

Not when it is fitted correctly. The track mounts to the fascia or under the drip edge with fasteners chosen for the substrate — never staples or nails into shingles, and never anything that lifts a shingle course and creates a leak path. The same rule governs our seasonal installs, which is why we use clips rather than anything driven into the roof.
