How the Joints Get Their Sand Back

Timing It Right
June through September. Polymeric sand and sealer both need warm, dry days to set and cure, and a patio near Brandenburg Park or on a canal street often waits for a settled stretch, since fog overnight leaves enough moisture in the joints to matter. Spring is the season to walk the patio and book the work, not the season to seal it. After that, a rinse each spring and a fresh coat every three to five years holds it.
