A Village With a History Worth Preserving

Few Michigan downtowns carry a story like Holly's. An 1880 brawl between local rowdies and a traveling circus's workers gave Battle Alley its name; Carry Nation marched through its saloons with her umbrella on August 28, 1908; and in 1910 the alley became the village's first brick-paved street.
