Cold water pressure washing handles dirt, algae and mud. Grease, oil, gum and tire marks are bonded by fats and polymers that cold water cannot release at any pressure — hot water at 180°F or more breaks that bond the way hot water cuts a greasy pan. Heat is required for restaurants, garages and gum; it is wasted money on an ordinary siding wash.
